Frame to Planes

Module(s): General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

You can use the Frame to Planes tool to resolve a roof frame into discrete architectural reference planes (custom pairs of reference planes). When the roof frame is resolved, you can select and modify each plane of the roof separately.

To resolve a roof frame into custom pairs of reference planes

1. Click Frame to Planes (How).
   

   Activate Frame to Planes in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

2. Click the roof frame you want to explode.
3. Confirm the prompt.

Note: A roof frame resolved into architectural planes can no longer be manipulated using tools in the Roof Designer module.
