Examples of parameter settings for custom planes

1st example:

The upper plane is parallel to the datum level

• Custom Planes dialog box, Lower plane area:
  Setting Absolute elevation, plane parallel to datum level,
  Value for Elevation = 0.00
• Custom Planes dialog box, Upper plane area:
  Setting Absolute elevation, plane parallel to datum level,
  Value for Elevation = 2.50

  

  (A) Upper plane
  (B) Lower plane
  (C) Datum level

2nd example:

The lower plane is parallel to the datum level; the upper plane can be defined freely during construction.

• Custom Planes dialog box, Lower plane area:
  Setting Absolute elevation, plane parallel to datum level,
  Value for Elevation = 0.00
• Custom Planes dialog box, Upper plane area:
  Setting Upper plane free
  Upper plane’s definition points are defined using Match.

  

  (A) Upper plane
  (B) Lower plane
  (C) Lower plane at an offset of 1m to the datum level

3rd example:

The lower plane is freely definable; the upper plane is parallel to the lower plane (at an offset of 2.50 m)

• Custom Planes dialog box, Lower plane area:
  Setting Lower plane free
  Lower plane’s definition points are defined using Match.
• Custom Planes dialog box, Upper plane area:
  Setting Set component height, plane parallel to the other plane,
  Setting for vertical offset
  Value for Elevation = 2.50
