Connecting lines between fills appear in printouts

It may happen that lines between fills, which are not visible on screen, appear in printouts.

Cause

These lines may be created in the following cases:

• Entering several separate fills in one go
• Modifying fills using one of the following tools
  • Stretch Entities
  • Modify Offset
  • Reshape Surface Element, Architectural Area
• Walls with fills and openings
• Fills consisting of many individual points
• Fills in the Shadow module
• Merge fills

Solution

Check that Divide fills automatically is selected in the Options on the Layouts page.

Use a current Windows driver. You can download it from the Internet, for example. This is very useful for HP DesignJets. In the case of the HP Laserjet 5000, the PCL 6 driver is the solution.

As an alternative, if an adequate Allplan vector driver is available, you can test the output channels. To configure output channels, please refer to the Services Help Topics.

Otherwise, you can eliminate this effect by entering the element from scratch or by modifying it (move ”invisible" points to existing points using the Stretch Entities tool).

Note: Connecting lines are also displayed on screen if you select the relevant element using the Copy tool. In the preview, you can see the fill and the connecting lines.
