The printer does not print

The cause of many printing problems is often astonishingly simple and can very easily be resolved. Work your way through the steps below and attempt printing after you have completed each step.

  1. Check the following:
  2. Switch the printer off briefly and then switch it on again.
  3. Switch the printer off, shut down the computer to which the printer is connected and then switch it off. Switch the printer on again and check whether it is ready for operation. Now switch the computer on and power up.
  4. Check whether you can print out a test page and whether the test page is OK. If you can, then the reason for the problem is probably in the settings in Allplan. You may not have enough available hard disk space to print out the document or the printer does not have enough memory to process a complex document.
  5. Start the Services application, select Hotline Tools on the Service menu and double-click cleanup. The system may prompt you for arguments or options - you can leave this blank (i.e. no arguments or options are required).
