Setting the size of the printable area

If you are using Windows drivers, you can only select forms for the printable area that have already been defined and that can be handled by the selected printer. If the forms provided do not meet your requirements, you can define additional forms.
You can use Show/Hide to show and hide the border of the printable area.

To set the size of the printable area for Windows drivers

  1. Click Print Layouts (How).
  2. Go to the Settings area on the Printer tab and select Windows driver.
  3. Click Settings beside the printer set.
    Or
Specify the size and orientation of the printable area using the Format and Orientation parameters.
With older Windows drivers, the form feed is always based on the size of the selected form. Consequently, the printable area you select should match the layout size as closely as possible. When you use more recent drivers, this is not necessary as the paper is cut after the last print information.

Note: When working with Allplan vector drivers, the size you specify for the printable area defines the maximum coordinates the output device can handle. The layout is cut at these points. The printable area is not displayed on screen.
