Deleting contents of layouts

You can delete the contents of a layout, i.e., all the documents placed in the layout, as well as any elements you may have added (title block, border, etc.). The layout still exists as a file when you do not delete its name or when you select the empty layout again.

To delete the contents of layouts

1. In the Layout module, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How)
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard

   Tip: You can also double-click the left mouse button in the workspace.

2. Select the layouts whose contents you want to delete.

   Use the SHIFT key to select several consecutive layouts; use the CTRL key to select a series of non-adjacent layouts.
   You can also use the mouse to select a range: click to the right of the layout name of the first layout and enclose the layouts you want to select in a selection rectangle without releasing the mouse button.

3. Click a selected layout with the right mouse button and choose Delete contents of layout on the shortcut menu.
4. Specify whether you also want to delete the layout names and click Yes or No at the confirmation prompt.
   

Note: You can also use Delete Document to delete the contents of the current layout. Layouts can be deleted in ProjectPilot, too.
