Selecting the current layout

Tool(s): Open on a Project-Specific Basis

The layout elements are always placed in the current layout, which is preset for printing.

To select the current layout

1. Select the Layout module and click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How) or double-click with the left mouse button in the workspace.
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard

   If there is only the All layouts folder or if the current layout is in an additional folder of the layout structure, Allplan will open the corresponding folder and scroll to the current layout so that it is displayed in the middle of the dialog box.
   If there are other folders in addition to the All layouts folder but the current layout is only in the All layouts folder, which is closed, the current layout will not be displayed. In this case, open the All layouts folder and press the F4 key to go to the current layout.

2. The following options are provided for selecting the current layout:
   • Click the layout number or name with the right mouse button and select Make layout current on the shortcut menu.
   • Click the icon in front of the layout number.
   • Select the layout and press the space bar.
   • You can also use one of the above options to select a linked layout.
3. Click Close. Allplan opens the layout you have just made current.

Tip: You can also select the current layout by double-clicking the layout number or the icon in front of the layout number. Double-clicking activates the layout and closes the dialog box. This also applies to linked layouts.

Tip: If Allplan does not scroll automatically to the current layout in the layout structure or the layout display changes, you can use the shortcut menu of the project node to show the current layout. Alternatively press F4.
Allplan automatically expands all the folders that contain the current current layout. Linked layouts are not displayed. For this, select Show linked layouts on the shortcut menu of a layout. Clicking Show linked layout on the shortcut menu of a linked layout displays the original layout.
To go to a specific layout, enter the layout number or name using the keyboard. Pressing the F3 key takes you to the next appropriate layout.

You can specify which layouts displayed in the All layouts folder. You can either display All layouts or show selected layouts only. To select layouts, type in their numbers separated by commas or spaces. To select a range of adjacent layouts, enter the first and last layout number.
For performance reasons, layouts 1 to 1000 are displayed by default.

If you want to display layouts 1 to 10, layout 15 and 20 and layouts 25 to 29, enter the following: 1-10,15,20,25-29. The current selection is displayed on the shortcut menu.

It is also possible to display the layouts in use only.

Note: You cannot specify which layouts are displayed in the other layout folders. These folders always show all the layouts assigned and associated.
