Using assignments
To make assignments manually
- If the assignment does not appear automatically, click Modify in the Import dialog box.
The Configuration for Conversion dialog box appears.
In this case, the line type CONTINUOUS has been assigned to line type 1.
DOT is marked as Not mapped yet, i.e., it still has to be assigned manually.
To make or change the assignment for a single property
- Double-click the line or select a line, activate the shortcut menu with the right mouse button and click Assign.
You can also navigate between lines by entering numbers. - In the dialog box, select the property you want to assign.
To change the assignment for several properties
- Select the properties you want to assign. You can select a series of non-adjacent lines using the CTRL key. You can also select a range of lines by clicking the first and last line in the range with the SHIFT key.
- Click with the right mouse button to activate the shortcut menu:
- To assign a single property to all the selected properties in the source file, click Assign.
- To assign the properties to the selected properties in the source file in the sequence in which they appear in the list, click
Assign Ascending or
Assign Descending, depending on the sequence in which you want to assign.
- In the dialog box, select the property you want to assign or the property with which to start assigning.
Note: When the Show unassigned only check box is active, only the properties that are not yet assigned are displayed.
Note: An asterisk in the tab name indicates that the tab contains as-yet unassigned properties.
