Exporting patterns

You can use a prototype file to transfer patterns to an existing pattern definition. Otherwise, patterns are always exported as ‘pattern_1’.

A prototype file is an AutoCAD file in which defaults and resources (e.g. layer names, linetypes) are saved. When exporting, these resources are displayed in the Configuration for Conversion dialog box and you can make assignments.

You can exclude patterns from being exported (Options (ODX) - Advanced Settings – Transfer elements). You can also configure the program to resolve them (Explode elements).
