Pegging out

Module(s): Dimension Lines

You can use the Pegging Out tool to create pegs and orthogonal dimension lines.

To create pegs

1. Click Pegging Out (How).
   

   Activate Pegging Out in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Dimension Lines

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Dimension Lines flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Dimension Lines

2. If you want, you can now modify the dimension line's parameters.
   Several options are provided on the context toolbar for this.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match Properties to copy the settings form an existing element.
   • Click Load favorite to select saved parameter combinations.
3. Specify the Base value on the context toolbar.
4. Place the start of the dimension line.
   The Base value you entered applies to this point.
5. Place the end of the dimension line.
6. Click the points to be dimensioned.
   Click Undo last entry to undo the last point you clicked.

   The pegs are created.
