Dimension line at an angle

You can use Angle to create a linear dimension line at any angle.
To create a dimension line at an angle
- Click Dimension Line (How).
- If you want, you can now modify the dimension line's parameters.
are provided on the context toolbar for this. - Define the dimension line type in one of the following ways:
- On the context toolbar, click Angle and define the .
- Click just beside an existing dimension line. The type ( Horizontal or Vertical, too) is copied and the new dimension line is connected to the existing dimension line (on the side your click).
- When you want to create a new dimension line which is not to be joined with a block, you can now define the angle of the dimension line in one of the following ways:
- Click two direction points.
- Enter the angle in the dialog line and press ENTER to confirm.
- Click a line which you want to use as direction line.
- Click the first point to be dimensioned.
Now the following options are available on the Dimension Line Context toolbar: - Click more points to be dimensioned.
Tip: To ensure accurate dimensioning, you should only click genuine points. No acoustic signal is emitted when you click a genuine point.
- Press ESC to finish entering the dimension line.
- If you have selected the 'Bounded by user polyline' option in Extension line settings, the system will now prompt you to enter the polyline.
- Repeat steps 2 to 8 to draw more dimension lines. Otherwise, press ESC to quit the tool.
