Adding bonded thermal insulation layer

Architects often need to add a bonded thermal insulation layer to an existing exterior wall.

Although you can convert an existing wall to a two-tier wall with a fixed inside edge, this can cause significant numerical inaccuracies during calculation. As a result, the lines representing the sill of the new building layer in the demolition drawing may not be displayed correctly and openings in as-built walls may not be created/closed correctly.

Draw a new wall of the New building category in front of the existing wall.

In this case, you need to create a new opening in the new building wall for all new building openings and as-built openings (windows, doors, ...). Place the new openings on a separate layer. This ensures that the lines representing the sill of the new building layer in the demolition drawing are displayed correctly as you can hide the layer.

Demolition Object, New Building Object also handles bonded thermal insulation layers correctly.
