Text to Bar-Code

You can use the Text to Bar-Code tool to place the text you enter as a bar-code (in the Code39 format). Additional barcode types (EAN-13, for example) can be created using specific barcode TrueType fonts and the Text tool.

To record text as a bar-code

1. Click Text to Bar-Code (How).
   

   Activate Text to Bar-Code in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Text

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Text

2. Enter the text in the dialog line (40 characters maximum) and press Enter to confirm.
   The following characters are permitted: +, -, %, $, 0-9, A-Z.
3. If you want to change the size of the barcode, enter a resizing factor in the X and Y direction and press Enter to confirm the entries. You can enter resizing factors between 1 and 1,000.
4. Place the barcode.
