Creating layout structure automatically

Allplan automatically creates the layout structure when you select a predefined or custom building structure.

To automatically create a layout structure along with the building structure

1. Create a new project and select a predefined project set-up with a building structure in the New Project - Additional Settings dialog box
2. If you did not specify a set-up when you created the project, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How) and select the Building structure tab.
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard
3. Allplan displays a dialog box where you can specify how the building structure is to be created:
   • Select predefined sample structure
   • Match existing building structure from a different project

     Note: If you do not create a building structure or if you select a building structure from a different project that does not include a layout structure, Allplan will not create a layout structure.
