Click Solar Thermal System to access the TSOL Pro program, which you can use to place and simulate solar thermal systems. This program helps you optimize most common system configurations in order to achieve the most efficient installation of the solar thermal system.

Calculations are based on hourly analyses. The results are presented in a detailed project report.

To determine the required collector surface and storage capacity for a customized solar system

1. Click Solar Thermal System (How).
   

   Activate Solar Thermal System in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Energy Energy Consulting

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Energy consulting

2. Read the note on the terms of use and click OK if you agree to them.
   

   Some of the programs in the Energy family are owned and provided free of charge by other companies. Allplan GmbH is not responsible for these programs. Consequently, Allplan GmbH does not assume any responsibility or liability for future shipments. You are not entitled to future shipments, replacement deliveries, updates or upgrades.

   Allplan will issue a message if you activate one of these programs.

3. Activate the TSOL Pro program and start by selecting the structure of the system. Then enter geographical data such as the location and orientation of the collectors.

   Specify the consumption of hot water and the heating demand. The program then calculates the required storage capacity and the collector surface based on the selected collector type.
   By simulating the system over a one-year period, the program calculates performance, benefit, solar fraction and efficiency of the system.

4. To continue, click Continue >> or use the icons on the left.

Notes:

• If you want to print the calculation results, you require the full program version, which you can purchase from Dr. Valentin EnergieSoftware GmbH, Berlin.
  In addition, you also need the full version to change the name of your company in the Settings area. This name is displayed in the print preview.
• You can download additional climate from the Downloads area of Dr. Valentin EnergieSoftware GmbH's website. For this, you need to register, which you can do free of charge.
