Pair of custom reference planes consisting of two inclined planes

To enter a pair of custom reference planes consisting of two inclined planes

1. Click Custom Planes (How).
   

   Activate Custom Planes in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

2. Click Properties and enter parameters for the custom pair of reference planes.
3. In the Upper plane and Lower plane areas of the Custom Planes dialog box, click Upper plane free and Lower plane free, respectively.
   • The inclined planes are created.
     To specify the definition points, click Match in the Definition points area.
     The Custom Planes dialog box closes.
     (If you know the coordinates and the height, you can also enter these values directly.)
   • Enter the definition points of the two inclined planes:
     Click three points in plan and enter the upper and lower height values for each point clicked in the dialog line.
     
     Or
     
     Click two points of the same upper and lower height in plan, enter the angle of inclination for the upper and lower planes in the dialog line and specify the direction of inclination by clicking again.
     
     When you click a point in isometric view, the height of the point clicked is used.
     
     When you have defined the definition points, the Custom Reference Planes dialog box is displayed again.

     Note: The height of a point can also be taken from existing planes. Click the plane in question.

4. Click OK to confirm the Custom Planes dialog box.

   

   (A) Upper plane
   (B) Lower plane
   (C) Datum level

5. Enter a polygon (as construction points) to define the outline of the pair of reference planes as you would a polyline.

   Architectural elements associated with and delimited by them (in plan) will automatically adjust to the new heights imposed by the planes. (This does not apply to elements whose heights were defined as absolute values.)
