Adding new building elements

Use a separate drawing file for the new building elements you want to add to the existing layout. Every new component you draw is automatically given the 'new building' category. If you want, you can also use the new building objects provided in the wizards.

Note: To make sure that demolition walls and new building walls do not intersect, you need to open the drawing file with the as-built walls and demolition walls in reference mode when creating the new building walls.

Important steps

1. Select an empty drawing file for the new building elements and open the drawing file with the as-built and demolition data in reference mode.
2. Draw the new building element(s).

   Each new component automatically gets the New building category.

   To use the components in the building alteration wizards, do the following:

   • Find a suitable component in one of the building alteration wizards.
   • Double-click the component with the right mouse button.
     
     Or
     
     Click the component with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, click Match.
   • This opens the tool that was used to create the component and takes all the parameters from the wizard.
