Template project and wizards

The Allplan 2015 IBD Building Alteration package is part of building alteration work in Allplan. This package includes specific wizards and a template project. The elements in the wizards are associated with numerous attributes, which you can analyze in <prod_ava1>, among others. A detailed layer structure is also provided.

The ____Allplan 2015 IBD BUILDING ALTERATION template project includes all the drawing types, layers, area styles, line styles, print sets, display favorites, drawing files, building structure settings you need for building alteration work.

You need to install the Allplan 2015 IBD Building Alteration package separately. After having started Allplan, you need to configure this package using the Services application. Select the IBD_Res: update Allplan IBD resources hotline tool.

Important: you need to start Allplan once before you carry out the IBD_Res: update Allplan IBD resources hotline tool in the Services application.
Otherwise, default values cannot be created or updated!

Note: Copy the template project and rename it instead of creating and configuring a new project. This way, you do not need to make all the settings from scratch.

Note: The ____Allplan 2015 IBD BUILDING ALTERATION template project provides all the resources in the project path. If you want to use the building alteration options and features in "normal" projects without IBD, you have to copy a number of new resources to the office standard. As an alternative, you can also open a copy of the template project and copy the drawing files you need from the old project to the new project.
However, the format properties and attributes of the components imported from the old project differ from those of the as-built objects provided in the wizards for building alteration work. Therefore, you need to convert the components to as-built objects. To do this, use the predefined objects in the wizards and the Conversion for Building Alteration Work tool.

The components' geometry and position are not affected; only the properties are adjusted to the settings in the template project. This is the best approach for most projects.
