Using area styles

To create and define a new area style

1. Open the Define, manage line styles, area styles, drawing types dialog box.

   How to access the dialog box

   • On the Tools menu, click Defaults and then Line styles, area styles, drawing types.

     Or:

     Click Select, Set Layers(How), select the Format Definition tab and click Manage line styles, area styles, drawing types.

     

     Activate Select, Set Layers in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Format

     • Keyboard: Ctrl+4

     • Toolbar: Format

   Note: The You are modifying the line styles in the office folder message indicates that you are about to change the settings of the office standard.

2. In the Area style settings area, click the New, manage... button.
3. Click New.
4. Enter the ID number. You can enter numbers between 1 and 255 as well as 511 and 32,767; numbers between 256 and 510 are reserved for Allplan area styles.
5. Enter a name for the new area style.
6. Select a group and click OK. If there is no group with the name entered, it will be created.
7. Click in the Scale 1:x or Drawing type column and enter the scale or drawing type for which these settings are to apply.
8. Click an entry in the Hatching and Pattern columns and in the Fill or Bitmap area column and select a setting in each column clicked.
