Assigning attributes to layouts

Using attributes

Layouts can be assigned attributes. When selecting layouts, you can apply a filter based on these attributes. This way, you can specify which layouts are presented for selection within the individual tools. To find out which attributes can be assigned, see overview of available layout attributes.

Tip: You can also assign layout attributes in the Layout Attributes dialog box, which you can access using the Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution or Layout and Project Attributes tool.

To assign attributes to layouts

1. In the Layout module, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How)
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard

   Tip: You can also double-click the left mouse button in the workspace.

2. Click the layout to which you want to assign attributes with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, choose Properties.
3. Select the Settings tab and assign the desired attributes.
   

Note: Linked layouts always have the attributes of the "original layout". Apart from the layout name, you can also define and change the properties of a layout using its link.
