Selecting the current drawing file

Open on a Project-Specific Basis

The current (=active) drawing file is the drawing file on which you draw. There must always be one active drawing file. The current drawing file is displayed in the title bar of the Allplan application window.

To select the current drawing file

1. Click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How).
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard

   Tip: You can also double-click the left mouse button in the workspace.

2. Open the fileset to which the desired drawing file belongs and click in the 3rd column of the drawing file. The active drawing file is displayed as follows:

   

Tip: You can also select the active drawing file by double-clicking its name or number in the tree structure. This activates the drawing file in question (if possible) and closes all the other drawing files of this fileset and the dialog box (if an active drawing file is available).

Tip: You can also use the shortcut menu to make a drawing file that is open in reference mode the active drawing file. Right-click an element in the reference drawing file. The shortcut menu opens. Select Change Drawing File Status.
