Creating filesets

Open on a project-specific basis

A fileset is a convenient way of grouping together a series of drawing files. You might, for instance, assign all the drawing files containing design data for the first floor to the same fileset and call it First Floor. This way, whenever you want to view or edit the data for the first floor, you only have to open the First Floor fileset.

To create new filesets

  1. Click Open on a project-specific basis (How).

Tip: You can also double click with the left mouse button in the workspace.

  2. Click Create Fileset.
  3. Click the number under which you want to create the new fileset. The program will propose the lowest available number.
  4. Enter a name for the new fileset and click OK.

You can enter up to 70 characters for the name.

Note: You can also use the ProjectPilot to create filesets. Here, you can also create filesets in projects other than the current one. For more information, see Creating filesets.
