Modifying Smart Symbols Already Placed so that they Adapt to Finishing Surfaces

Adapting smart symbols to finishing surfaces

You can specify whether smart symbols you have already placed are to adapt to the floor, ceiling or not at all. This setting applies when the smart symbols are displayed in animation and sections.

To adapt a smart symbol to finishing surfaces later

• The smart symbol you want to modify is located in the document and placed in a room to which finish specifications have been assigned.

1. Click Modify Smart Symbol Instance's Attributes (How) and click the instance of the smart symbol you want to modify.
   

   Activate Modify Smart Symbol Instance's Attributes in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Smart Symbols

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Smart Symbols

   Or:

   Click the instance of the smart symbol you want to modify with the right mouse button. On the shortcut menu, choose Properties.

   The Modify Smart Symbol Instance's Attributes dialog box appears.

2. Click the Consider box until the desired finishing surface is displayed:
   • Floor
   • Ceiling
   • No
3. Click OK.

   The smart symbol adapts to the finish specifications in animation and sections.
