Edit XRef drawing files

Using XRefs

You can use this tool to switch directly to the drawing file you have placed as a XRef. When you select this drawing file, the program creates the Place XRef fileset, which includes both the current and the referenced drawing file.

To edit XRef drawing files

1. Click the XRef you want to edit with the right mouse button and choose Edit XRef drawing file on the shortcut menu.
2. Modify the drawing file as you want.
3. Select the original drawing file again.

   Note: When the extents of the XRef have changed, you need to update it by clicking Update XRef on the shortcut menu.
