Creating an offset polyline

Entering polylines

When you draw a polyline, you can enter an offset – for example, to quickly draw a roof with an overhang.

To create an offset polyline

1. After activating a tool for entering an area (e.g., hatching), enter an offset value in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm.

   Note: A positive offset is applied to the right of the direction in which the polyline is entered.

2. Draw the polyline. You can use all the polyline entry tools as you do so.

   The polyline is created with the offset specified.
