Activating documents (active) or drawing files (active / edit and reference) for point snap

When snapping points and aligning to points with CTRL + left mouse button, you can specify whether the active drawing file and those open in edit and/or reference mode are to be scanned for points.

To specify which drawing files are scanned for points and used for track tracing

1. Activate a tool where the system expects you to enter a point (e.g., Line).
2. In the Point Assistant, click Point snap options.
   

   You can activate the Point Assistant in the following ways:

   • The Point Assistant is provided on the shortcut menu. To activate it, all you need to do is click in the workspace or on an element with the right mouse button. In addition, various options are provided in the dialog line.
3. You can use the Detection area option in the Snap options area to specify whether active documents and/or drawing files open in reference mode are to be scanned for points.
