Drawing horizontal and vertical lines with the mouse

When you draw lines or other linear elements, you can configure the system to draw these so that they are only vertical or horizontal. The current setting for the system angle is taken into account. For example, if the system angle is set to 30°, then this angle is interpreted as being horizontal.

To draw horizontal and vertical lines with the mouse

  1. Click Line (How) and set the line's origin.
  2. In the Input options, click Enter at right angles.

Now, you can only draw the line at a right angle to the selected system angle.

Tip: When you press and hold down the SHIFT key after you have placed the first point, additional points are created so that they are always orthogonal unless Enter at right angles or Enter using cursor snap is enabled in the dialog line.

Note: You can also use the linear snap tool to draw lines at right angles. See Linear snap
