Using pen thickness

You can use this dialog box to define the line widths and colors for pens 1 - 15 and configure which pens are available on the Format QuickSelect toolbar.

How to access the dialog box

Note: Assignments between line widths and pens are saved and managed on a project-specific or office-specific basis. Assignments between line colors and pens, pens defined for the Format QuickSelect toolbar and the Thick line display setting are user-specific (when Workgroup Manager is installed) or workstation-specific (when Workgroup Manager is not installed).

Definition area

Here you can assign a line width and color to pens 1 through 15.

Pens for QuickSelect format

You can select four pens that you want to be available for rapid selection on the Format QuicktSelect toolbar. When you select a pen here, the system rearranges the order in which they appear so that they are sorted by line width.

'Thick line display' area

Here you can specify how lines are to appear on-screen (assuming that you have enabled the Thick Line option in Show/Hide):

Real: lines are displayed in their actual width. Moreover, changing the display scale will alter the manner in which the lines are displayed.

Constant: lines are displayed at a constant width, regardless of the display scale setting.
