In the Customize dialog box you can configure toolbars for your personal requirements and preferences, and you can assign shortcut keys to functions as you need.
To access this dialog box, click Customize... on the Tools menu.
Import...
You can import configuration settings from a file (.ubx) here.
Export...
You can export configuration settings to a file (.ubx) here. You can import this file to any computer.
Load...
This is where you load a configuration setting
Save...
This is where you save configuration settings. The settings are user-specific and saved in the Registry.
Note: Use Export... and Import... to exchange configuration settings between different users.
Categories
This is where you select a toolbar. The icons in the selected toolbar are displayed in the Buttons area.
Modules
If you selected the Create, Create II or Modify categories, choose the module here.
Buttons
The icons in the selected category (and module) are displayed here. You can drag an icon to a toolbar or select an icon and assign a shortcut key.
Press new shortcut key
Enter a new shortcut for the icon.
Assign
Use this to assign the shortcut key to the button that is selected in the Buttons area.
Current keys
The current shortcut key is displayed here.
Color scheme and icon design
You can toggle between the Allplan and Windows color schemes. This setting has an effect on the background of toolbars, palettes and dialog boxes.
Categories
This is where you show/hide toolbars.
Symbol size
Use this to set the icon size with which the functions are displayed. This setting only applies to toolbars selected in Categories (= highlighted in blue).
New
This is where you create new toolbars.
Delete
Use this to delete the toolbar that is selected in the Categories area. You cannot delete the default Allplan toolbars.
Reset
Use this to reset the toolbar that is selected in the Categories area back to its default setting. This is not available with user-defined toolbars.
Reset All
This resets all the standard toolbars back to their defaults.
Show ScreenTips on toolbars
Specify whether ScreenTips are to be displayed when you position the cursor over an icon.
Show shortcut
Specify whether the assigned shortcut key is to be displayed in the ScreenTip for the icon.
Hide automatically
Adjust tab width
When this option is selected, the width of the tabs is adjusted to the height of the Allplan window. When this option is not selected, the width is adjusted to the text in the tabs.
Limit tab width
When this option is selected, the width of the tabs is limited by a maximum value. When this option is not selected, the width of the tabs extends across the entire height of the Allplan window.
Time until palettes open
Enter the time in milliseconds that elapses until the palettes are displayed when you drag the cursor over the tab.
Time until palettes close
Enter the time in milliseconds that elapses until the palettes close when you drag the cursor over the tab.
Duration
Enter the time in milliseconds that elapses until the palettes are shown and hidden.
Settings for palettes
Define special properties for the individual palettes. You can also define the properties by right-clicking in a palette and selecting Customize... on the shortcut menu.
Modules
Specify whether the individual modules are displayed as text, icons or text plus icons in the Modules palette In addition, you can hide the ‘+‘ and ‘-‘ signs.
Tools
Symbols: define the size of the icons and the spacing between the icons. In addition you can specify whether icons plus text or only icons are displayed.
Tab position: set the tab position for the Tools palette.
Wizards
Set the tab position for the Wizards palette.
Properties
Show Match buttons: when this option is selected, the Match button is displayed in the Properties palette. You can use this button to copy the properties from another element.
Description: when this option is selected, a description of the selected property is displayed near the bottom of the palette.
Navigation using the Enter key: you can specify how the focus behaves in the Properties palette when you press the Enter key. With None, the focus does not change. To left column moves the focus to the left column and To next row moves the focus to the next row and you can immediately enter the next value.
Library
You can set the size of the icons.
Connect
You can enter your user name and password for Allplan Connect. This login information is used by the Connectpalette and saved so that you can access the contents of this palette directly after having started Allplan.
Layers
You can specify whether the top and/or bottom structural levels of the layer hierarchy and which properties of the layer (short name, full name, combined format properties, pen, line color) are displayed.
