Importing SketchUp data

You can use Import SketchUp Data (File menu - Import) to import *.skp-format files (up to version 8) created in SketchUp to Allplan. The data is transferred as 3D surfaces and placed in Allplan using the coordinates specified in SketchUp.

This way, you can use studies created in SketchUp as the basis for a building.

To import SketchUp data

1. Click Import SketchUp Data (How).
   

   Activate Import SketchUp Data in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File Import

2. Select a file and click Open.

   The 3D model is placed in the document. The coordinates defined in SketchUp are used.
