Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

This group includes the Stirrup, closed, Torsion stirrup and Diamond stirrup bending shapes. Define these shapes as follows:

1. Specify the corners of the shell.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
   

   When you draw lines and polylines, the following additional drawing aids are provided in the dialog line:
   

   Icon	Function	Use
   	No icon pressed in	The lines can be drawn at any angle. This is the default setting.
   	Enter at right angles	The line can only be drawn at right angles to the current system angle.
   	Cursor snap	The line can only be drawn at specific angles.
   15.00	Cursor snap angle	Define the cursor snap angle here (only possible when is enabled).

   

   • Click the point.
   • Align to points using the linear snap function and click the point.
   • Define the point by making entries in the dialog line.

   Tip: To find out how to enter points in Allplan, see Precision Drawing.

   Tip: The shortcut menu and dialog line provide tools and options to assist you in the process of entering points. For more information, see Tools and Options.

   • To create the shell for a rectangular stirrup, click the start point, then click the diagonally opposite point and press ESC.
   • To create the shell for any other stirrup with four corners, click the start point and then the remaining three corners.
2. Click the desired corner or the side of the preview to specify where the hook or overlap for the closed stirrup is to be created.
   

Note: When you select the Torsion stirrup type, you can define the position of overlap in the graphics area or Overlap line. Please note that you cannot change this setting after you have entered the geometry of the bending shape.

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

This group includes the Circular stirrup and Polygonal stirrup bending shapes.

You can define the circular stirrup as follows:

1. Specify the center of the shell.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Define the circular shell. The following options are available:
   • Click the shell.
   • Click a point in the workspace. You can also use track lines.
   • Enter the coordinates of a point of the shell in the dialog line.

Note: You cannot alter the position of the overlap.

You can define the polygonal stirrup as follows:

1. Specify the corners of the shell.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. To finish entering points, press ESC after you have clicked the last corner or click the first corner again.

   The hooks are created at the first corner.

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

This group includes the Stirrup, open at top, Open stirrup and Stirrup with starter bar for slab and Corner stirrup bending shapes. Define these shapes as follows:

1. Specify the corners of the shell.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu. When you are creating a Corner stirrup, make sure that you define the outside corner of the wall as the start point.
   • To create the shell for a rectangular stirrup, click the start point, then click the diagonally opposite point and press ESC.
   • To create the shell for any other stirrup with four corners, click the start point and then the remaining three corners.
2. For the Stirrup, open at top and Open stirrup bending shapes , click the side of the preview you want to remove
   or
   For the Stirrup with starter bar for slab bending shape, click the corner of the preview where you want to create the hook.
3. Specify the segment lengths, if necessary.

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

This group includes the following bending shapes: Straight bar, Straight bar with hook(s) and Straight bar with anchorage as well as Straight mesh, Straight mesh with hook(s) and Straight mesh with anchorage. Define these shapes as follows:

1. Specify the start point of the component or of the clear width.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Specify the end point of the component or of the clear width. The following options are available:
   • Click a point in the workspace. You can also use track lines.
   • Enter the coordinates of the end point in the dialog line.

Notes:

• When you select the Straight bar as point option for the Straight bar bending shape, you can place the bar within another bar. You cannot change the position of the bar later.
  

  This is where you can define how the bar is placed.

• When you select the Straight bar with anchorage and Straight mesh with anchorage bending shapes, you can specify the position of anchorage in the graphics area or Anchorage line. Please note that you cannot change this setting after you have entered the geometry of the bending shape.

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

This group includes the L-shaped bar and L-shaped bar with hook(s) as well as L-shaped mesh and L-shaped mesh with hook(s) bending shapes. Define these shapes as follows:

1. Specify the start point, corner and end point of the shell.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Specify the segment lengths, if necessary.

Note: With the option to enter positive and negative values for the concrete cover of the relevant segments, you can also create L-shaped bars at the top/bottom (in the area between the landing and flight of stair) or on the inside/outside (corner of frame).

Tool(s): Bar Shape

This group includes the Corbel bar and Horizontal loop bending shapes.

Define a corbel bar as follows:

1. Specify the start point and end point within the load-bearing component and click the end point of the corbel.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Specify the segment lengths, if necessary.

Define the horizontal loop as follows:

1. Specify the start point and fold point before the cope and the end point on the face.
   If necessary, enter a temporary line for the position of the bend; use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Specify the segment lengths, if necessary.

Note: As opposed to entry in expanding mode, where the loop is always bent at 30 degrees, you can specify any angle by entering the fold point and end point.

Tool(s): Bar Shape

Define this bending shape as follows:

1. Specify the first point of the edge.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
2. Specify the second point of the edge. The following options are available:
   • Click a point in the workspace. You can also use the track line for this.
   • Enter the coordinates of the point in the dialog line.

Tool(s): Bar Shape

Define this bending shape as follows: the left vertical segment of the spacer is on the line connecting the two points entered.

1. Use the input options to specify how to display the spacer: you can choose between Front view and Side view.
2. Specify the first point of the edge.
   Use the tools in the dialog line and on the shortcut menu.
3. Specify the second point of the edge. The following options are available:
   • Click a point in the workspace. You can also use track lines.
   • Enter the coordinates of the point in the dialog line.

Note: The first point entered always defines the base of the spacer.
