Display existing trees

You can specify how tree and plant elements are displayed:

• Use colored fills for all elements
  

  All tree elements appear in color, regardless of the settings which were active when you entered the elements.
  When you switch to Color or monochrome as element property, the elements appear in their original color again.

  

• Display monochrome elements without fills
  

  All tree elements appear in black and white, regardless of the settings which were active when you entered the elements.
  When you switch to Color or monochrome as element property, the elements appear in their original color again.

  

• Color or monochrome as element property (default setting)
  

  When entering tree elements, you can specify whether they are to appear in color or in black and white.

  

Create printable linear and area elements

Default setting: on

Linear and area elements in the Landscaping and Urban Planning modules (for example, building lines or plants and paths entered as lines or areas) are normally included in printouts; therefore, the Create printable linear and area elements option is selected by default. You can change the pen to construction line format using Modify Format Properties or Format Properties on the shortcut menu of the relevant element.

To avoid this, clear the Create printable linear and area elements option. As a result, linear and area elements are not included in printouts. In this case, the pen on the Format toolbar is used to display linear and area elements on screen.

If you want to include linear and area elements in printouts, click Modify Format Properties or Format Properties on the shortcut menu of the relevant element, change the pen and assemble the layout as usual.
