Converting several slide shows to an AVI movie

To convert several slide shows to an AVI movie

1. Click Open, Convert Show (How).
   

   Activate Open, Convert Show in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Presentation Animation

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Animation

2. In the Convert to AVI area in the Slide Shows dialog box, start by specifying the number of images/sec and specify whether the AVI movie is to be saved in compressed format (requires less disk space).

   Note: Select a suitable compression method in order to save space. We recommend Microsoft Video 1 (low compression, high quality) and Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2 (high compression, low quality). Other codecs require a certain resolution (e.g. 640 x 480), or restrictions apply and/or there is a loss of quality.

   

   Some codecs cannot process large images (the bitmap size must not exceed 320*240 or 640*480). Larger sizes lead to error messages.

   Please consult the manufacturer of the selected codecs or use a different compression method.

   We recommend the following compression methods: Microsoft Video 1 (low compression, high quality) and Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2 (high compression, low quality).

3. In the Convert to AVI area in the Slide Shows dialog box, click Multi.
4. In the Open File dialog box select the path and name of the first show to be included in the new AVI movie, then click Open.

   Note: If the size of the images in the individual shows is different, the size of the first show you select is used. All the other bitmaps are resized to this size.

5. Repeat step 4 and select all the slide shows you want to include in the new AVI movie. Select them in the correct sequence.
6. When you have selected all the shows, press the ESC key.

   In the Save File dialog box, enter a name for the combined AVI movie and specify where the AVI movie is to be saved. Then click Save.

   The conversion to AVI starts. You cannot make any entries during the conversion process.
