VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is a language used to describe virtual 3D worlds. You can save scenes (with images and surface properties) you set up in Allplan as VRML 2.0 files – comparable with the Allplan movie format.

To view VRML files you need a VRML browser. Up-to-date information can be found on the Internet. See the FAQs provided by Nemetschek’s Technical Support. Follow this link and search for VRML:

Using a VRML-enabled browser, a client would, for instance, be in a position to view parts of his building from a remote site even before it is built.

The VRML format can be processed by various rendering applications (e.g. CINEMA 4D).

The VRML format is used to transfer data to a new generation of chromophore, film-forming 3D printers. This way, you can create color, true-to-scale models straight from the animation window.

Tip: You can also import files in *.wrl format to Allplan by dragging them from Windows Explorer.
