Animation options: Show finish elements in rooms

Specify whether finishing and special surfaces as well as baseboard are visible in viewports.

The setting you make here applies to finishing surfaces and baseboard you create with Room or Finish Specifications as well as to special surfaces and baseboard you create with Vertical Surface, Floor Surface, Ceiling or Baseboard.

The finish elements appear as follows:

In viewports with the Animation view type and in renderings: the program extrudes the finishing surfaces and displays them as animation surfaces.
In isometric views and perspective views of the Wireframe type: the program displays the finish elements as lines.
In isometric views and perspective views of the Hidden type: the program extrudes floors and ceilings and displays them as surfaces.
In plan view with the Wireframe view type: finish elements are not visible.

Note: You can enter these surfaces in the Rooms, Surfaces, Stories module.

Tip: Displaying animation surfaces for finish surfaces and special surfaces is time-consuming. You do not need these surfaces if you want to view a building from the outside. Select this option if you want to render specific views, for viewing objects from the inside, for example.

Tip: If you want to view the floor plan from top, just switch off the ceilings.
