Point snap methods

Delta Y finds a point based on its offset in the Y direction relative to the last point entered.

To enter a relative offset in the Y direction

• Check that Delta point is selected in the dialog line so that you can enter relative coordinates (the entries you make relate to the point currently snapped or the last point entered).

1. Activate a drawing tool.
2. Click a point in the workspace or point to an existing point with the crosshairs.

   As soon as the program snaps to an existing point, the data entry boxes are highlighted in yellow and all the entries you make apply to the point snapped. When the data entry boxes are highlighted in white, the entries you make relate to the last point entered.

3. Select Delta Y and enter a value.

   Tip: You can also enter offset values in the X and Z direction relative to the same point. All you need to do is click the relevant data entry box or press the TAB, PAGE UP, SHIFT+TAB or PAGE DOWN keys, which take you to the next box.

4. When you have entered all the values, press Enter to confirm.
