Attributes of a smart symbol definition

Tool(s): Smart Symbol Definition + Modify Smart Symbol

Resize smart symbol

You can specify whether the smart symbol can be resized when it is used (when it is inserted in a window opening, for example).

Note: The setting for Resize smart symbol has an effect on the substitute smart symbol when you replace smart symbols. If the original smart symbol was defined and placed with this option being selected, the substitute smart symbol behaves in the same way even if it was defined with this option being not selected.

Reference point

The coordinates of the reference point of the first foil you defined are displayed and can be changed.

MinMax point 1, MinMax point 2

These two points define the smart symbol range used when it is inserted. This means, for example, that door arches can be excluded. The current validity range is displayed in the construction line format.

MinMax point 1 defines the bottom left point of the smart symbol range.
The coordinates of the point are displayed and can be changed.

MinMax point 2 defines the top right point of the smart symbol range.
The coordinates of the point are displayed and can be changed.

Note: In the case of three-dimensional designs, ensure that the points for the MinMax box also have the appropriate height (Z-axis value). We recommend working with three viewports (plan, elevation and isometric) for this purpose.

Snoop function

You can define whether the smart symbol is to be saved as an intelligent smart symbol with snoop functionality or as a dumb smart symbol.
