Settings for printing transparent fills

Depending on the printer or driver you use, transparent fills may not print (correctly).

Solutions for the HP DesignJet Series

Unfortunately, the current drivers for HP DesignJet printer do not support this feature consistently.

Please start by installing the current driver for your printer. You can download the driver from HP's homepage:

or

After you have installed the current driver, please make the following settings:

• Click Start - Settings - Control Panel - Printer; click DesignJet-Spooler with the right mouse button, select Properties - Colors and check that Automatic is active. Click OK to confirm each setting.
• When running Windows XP/Vista:
  Click DesignJet-Spooler with the right mouse button, click Print Settings and select the Advanced Options tab.
  • For HP DesignJet Series 3**/4**/6**/7**:
    Set Document Processing to Computer.
    
    For HP DesignJet Series 5**/8**/10**/5***:
    Set Document Processing to Avoid problems.

Note: The settings described above slow down the performance of the computer, i.e. printing is slower. Therefore they are only a temporary solution. A new driver will soon be available on the Internet.
