Overview of options
Saving, retrieving and resetting options

You can define how handles are displayed and used. Advanced information on handles can be found in "Modifying objects directly". In addition, you can specify when the data entry boxes and the context toolbar are displayed and what they look like.

How to open the dialog box

Handles

Display handles

To set the following options, you must select this check box.

Default color

Specify the color for handles that are not selected.

Selection color

Specify the color for handles that are selected.

Selection color preview

Specify the color the handles are to assume while you are working (e.g. moving, copying, rotating).

Transparency, size and snap radius for drag point

You can see the effect of these settings in the preview on the right.

Maximum number

You can specify the maximum number of handles that are displayed when you select elements.

Dragging handles (click and drag) starts copy / move operation

When selected, you can move or copy (with CTRL) elements using handles. All you need to do is click a handle and then drag. When not selected, the tool that opens when you click a handle depends on the element (stretch entities, resize, ...).

Entry boxes

Visibility when element is selected - Always visible / Show and hide using the space bar

You can use this option to control the visibility of the data entry boxes for a selected element. The data entry boxes can be displayed immediately after you have selected an element or not until you press the space bar.

Display delta values

You can use this option to control the visibility of the delta X/Y/Z data entry boxes for lines and linear components.

Icon color

You can select the color for the toggle buttons.

Context toolbar

Display when elements are selected

You can use this tool to control the visibility of the context toolbar. When elements are selected while no tool is active, the context toolbar appears shortly after you have pointed to a snapped point or a selected element. The context toolbar offers a number of tools (for example, copy).

Time limit for display

You can specify the time that is to elapse until the context toolbar appears after you have selected an element.

Arrange elements using drag-and-drop operations

You can drag an icon from the box on the right into the box on the left in order to add this tool to the context toolbar. Similarly, drag an icon from the box on the left into the box on the right to remove this tool from the context toolbar.

You can define the sequence in which the tools are arranged on the context toolbar by dragging the icons to the required position within the box on the left.
