Handrails can have rectangular, circular or ellipsoidal cross-sections.

(A) Handrail

With the Detach at corners option, handrails are split at the corners in plan and are thus not displayed as continuous (the red handrail displayed in the illustration below is split, the blue handrail not).

As twisting handrails are still commonly used in practice, you can specify how handrails are created by enabling or disabling the Detach at corners option.
